Docs

Everything Lejr does — and two ways to do it.

Every feature in Lejr works two ways: do it yourself in the app, or just ask the Lejr Assistant and watch it draft the entry for your approval. These docs show both, side by side, for each feature.

Banking & Transactions

Bank Feed

Every transaction your bank sends, in one reviewable stream. Accept, categorize, match, or split each line. The feed is the front door to keeping your books current without manual data entry.

Import Transactions (CSV)

Bring history in from any bank or another system with a four-step wizard: upload, map your columns, set how dates should be read, and preview every row before anything posts. Mapping is click-to-match, and your date parse convention stays separate from how dates display.

Unified Transactions

One list for everything that hits your books — bank lines, invoices, bills, journal entries — with a computed needs-review status instead of a separate staging area. Click any row to open a right-side panel and edit category, memo, vendor, or customer inline.

Categorize TransactionsAssistant

Assign the right account to each transaction so your reports are correct. Lejr suggests a category for every line; accept it, change it, or let the assistant clear the whole backlog at once.

Auto-Categorization

A four-tier engine — learned rules, a vendor map, Plaid signals, and fuzzy matching — proposes a category for every transaction. It learns from your corrections, so the more you use Lejr, the less you touch.

Transfers Between AccountsAssistant

Money moving between your own accounts isn't income or expense — it's a transfer. Lejr spots the matching pair and lets you confirm it as a transfer in one click, keeping your P&L honest.

Journal EntriesAssistant

When you need to post directly — accruals, reclassifications, period adjustments — Lejr gives you proper balanced journal entries with debits and credits that must equal before they post. The ledger is immutable; corrections are new entries, never edits.

Open Items

Everything still waiting on you — unmatched payments, uncategorized lines, invoices and bills not yet settled — gathered in one worklist so nothing slips through the cracks at month-end.

Sales

CustomersAssistant

Your customer list with balances, contact details, and history. Open any customer to see their invoices, payments, and outstanding balance at a glance.

Estimates & QuotesAssistant

Send a customer a quote before the work starts, then convert it to an invoice in one click when they say yes. Estimates never touch your ledger — they're proposals until accepted, so nothing hits your books early.

Create an InvoiceAssistant

Build an invoice with line items, products, discounts, and tax. It autosaves as you type and previews exactly what the customer will receive. Or skip the form entirely — describe it to the Lejr Assistant and watch it draft the invoice for your approval.

Invoices

Every invoice you've issued, with status — draft, sent, paid, overdue — at a glance. Filter, search, and open any invoice to see its full lifecycle and payment history.

Recurring Invoices

Bill repeat customers on a schedule without redoing the work each time. Set the cadence once and Lejr drafts each invoice when it's due — retainers, memberships, and monthly service plans without the manual re-entry.

Record a PaymentAssistant

Mark an invoice paid and post the receipt to your books in one step. Lejr matches incoming bank deposits to open invoices so reconciliation is mostly confirming, not data entry.

Get Paid Online

Turn on card payments through Stripe and every invoice you send gets a secure pay link — your customer pays in a click and the receipt posts to your books automatically. Optionally allow partial payments so customers can put down a deposit or pay progress billing, with the balance staying due on the same link.

Products & Services

Reusable line items — each tied to an income account and optional tax — so invoices stay consistent and your revenue lands in the right place every time.

Customer Statements

Send a customer a running summary of everything they owe across invoices and payments over a period. A statement is a document, not a ledger event — it never changes your books, it just shows the customer where they stand.

A/R AgingAssistant

Who owes you, and how late — bucketed current, 30, 60, 90+ days. The report you check before chasing collections, and the one your CPA asks for at year-end.
