A/P Aging

What you owe vendors, grouped by how many days past due.

The A/P aging report groups what you owe by how far past due it is. Check it before a payment run or a large purchase.

The A/P Aging tab under Financials showing $0.00 in total outstanding and in the Current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90 and 90+ buckets, with a note that it ties to 2000 Accounts Payable.

Reading the report

  1. Check the tie-out

The total should equal your Accounts Payable balance, and the report checks this for you. It includes payable adjustments posted without a bill. If it doesn't tie, a warning links to the ledger so you can find the difference.

  2. Look at what's overdue

Click a bucket to show only those rows. Anything past current is a supplier you've kept waiting.

  3. Plan the payment run

Start with the oldest and largest, weighed against which suppliers matter most and any early-payment discounts.

Read it next to your cash

$10,000 in the bank with $9,000 due next week is a different position from $10,000 with nothing owed, though your banking app shows the same number. A/P aging shows the difference.

  • Export downloads the report.
  • Bills you haven't entered aren't here. Enter bills when they arrive, not when you pay them.
