Connect Your Bank
Link your bank and card accounts through Plaid. New transactions come in automatically and wait in Transactions for you to review.
Connect a bank or credit card and its transactions come into Lejr on their own. You review them instead of typing them.
Connections run through Plaid. You sign in to your bank in Plaid's window, and Lejr never sees or stores your banking credentials.
Connecting an account
- Open Settings → Bank feeds
It lists each connected account with its balance and status. Click Connect a bank.
- Pick a start date
Transactions from this date forward are imported and kept in sync. Banks share up to 24 months of history. If your books already have transactions in that range, Lejr warns you about possible duplicates.
- Sign in to your bank
Find your bank in Plaid's picker and sign in, including any multi-factor prompt. Some banks send you to their own site to approve and then return you to Lejr.
- Map each account
For each account the bank shares, choose an existing account in your chart of accounts or create a new one. You can skip any you don't want imported.
- Review what arrives
New transactions land in Review on the Transactions page with a suggested category. Nothing posts until you or the assistant confirm it.
Nothing posts on arrival
A bank line says money moved. It can't say whether a card charge was materials, equipment or an owner draw, so each line waits in Review for that decision.
Money moving between two of your own accounts is neither income nor expense. Lejr suggests matching pairs as transfers so they stay off your profit and loss.
Good to know
- Lejr gets read access to transactions and balances only. It can't move money.
- Plus and Pro have no limit on bank connections.
- When a bank needs you to sign in again, the connection shows an error and its menu offers Reconnect.
- No feed for your bank, or need older history? Use CSV import.

- How far back does history come in?
- Up to 24 months, from the start date you pick. For anything older, use CSV import.
- What if my bank isn't listed?
- Export a CSV from your bank and import it. You match its date, amount and description columns and preview every row before anything is imported.
